Friday saw the return of a good friend of TARG, Justin Johnson G0KSC of InnovAntennas.

Justin gave a talk on Antenna Construction to a very busy hall; he explained the theory around the different techniques of putting an antenna together from the feed points to what are the best materials to use.

CLUB NIGHT 5-6-2015 (3)One question was, “Why does he use square box section instead of round tube.” It’s all to do with the accuracy in drilling holes without damaging the materials.

There were many interesting questions from the audience which Justin answered and the evening finished off with the TARG raffle with a first prize of an Innovantennas 2m LFA Yagi donated by Justin. This was won by Dean G4WQI.

Second Prize was a 10m Pole and Ground Screw, which was won by John M6HSJ. Graham G7JYD took home third prize – a HomeBrew Antenna CookBook.
